"The universe is composed of stories..." Muriel Ruykeser
The Executive Summary
I write essays, salty op-ed pieces, short stories, and novels. I lean into tales of family (original and cobbled-together), forgiveness, fairy tales, and science (especially women in science).
My favorite stories are the ones that make me laugh, make me cry, surprise me. Preferably all three.
That's my goal when I write. For you, and for me.
The Latest
My new novel, "AT YOUR SERVICE," is scheduled for publication in Fall 2027 by The Dial Press, an imprint of Penguin Random House. It chronicles a young, formally-trained English butler stranded in the suburbs of Des Moines, Iowa, who reluctantly accepts a post in the home of a young mother of four-year-old twins.
