​I write essays, salty op-ed pieces, short stories, and novels. I lean into tales of family (original and cobbled-together), forgiveness, fairy tales, and science (especially women in science).

My favorite stories are the ones that make me laugh, make me cry, surprise me. Preferably all three.

The Latest​​

My new novel, "AT YOUR SERVICE," is scheduled for publication in Fall 2027 by The Dial Press, an imprint of Penguin Random House. It chronicles a young, formally-trained English butler stranded in the suburbs of Des Moines, Iowa, who reluctantly accepts a post in the home of a young mother of four-year-old twins.
